Best Practices for Providing Supportive Mental Health Services

Mental health is a topic that impacts all of us in our day-to-day lives. Whether it’s navigating our own journeys to process the world around us, or supporting those around us, understanding the vast spectrum of mental health needs helps us all show up in our lives as better providers, friends, family members, and bystanders. This session will teach attendees how to define a trauma-informed care and service provision plan, explore the importance of intentional language that talks through individualized needs vs rushing to make unqualified diagnoses, and ensure that communication and policies clearly outline that sharing mental health needs doesn’t compromise access to service.

  • Rochelle Jamille Cornwall, MSW, LCSW, CSTIP, Founder/Owner, Real Judgment-Free Counseling & Wellness, RJC Wellness, LLC
