The past few years have seen raging forest fires, extreme heatwaves, droughts, higher smog and pollution levels and an increase in natural disasters that is creating and perpetuating the youth homelessness crisis in the West. Providers must be aware of the connection these issues have to housing and how to help young people build resilience in the face of climate disaster. In this panel, providers will discuss the intersections of the climate crisis and youth homelessness. Hear about strategies communities have implemented to support youth from the damaging effects of climate change and how to prepare for the worsening conditions we're forecasted to endure in the future and ensure youth have the stable housing and support they need.
