Authentic Communication & Youth Service Provision (OCFS-Sponsored Breakout Session)

Communication and rapport building is key to working with youth and creating a safe environment for them to thrive. Explore communication best practices such as Motivational Interviewing, mediation, and deescalation, and applying trauma-informed care strategies to communication. Attendees will leave with case examples, lessons learned, and a better understanding of best practices for communicating with youth authentically and effectively.
