Helping Young People Achieve Their Goals: Affirming Wraparound Services in Direct Cash Transfer Programs

Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) programs can offer optional support programs with a peer navigator including higher education and career counseling in addition to traditional case management to support youth participating achieve their self-defined goals and dreams. Learn how to provide wraparound services that center the needs of youth without imposing adultist conditions on a young person’s pathway to housing stability. Attendees will learn about non-judgmental assistance when helping clients budget, proper tax documentation, navigating changes in income and protecting benefits for youth, how to assist with banking and account management from a trauma-informed lens, and more.
